1:19Now PlayingDr. Anthony Fauci, the nation’s top infectious disease expert and a member of the White House coronavirus task force, said in an interview with the PBS NewsHour that he believes he has the full backing of the Trump administration. “I spoke to the president about that, I believe I do,” he told Judy Woodruff in an interview on Friday. This week, Fauci reportedly had his first conversation with President Donald Trump in at least one month. When asked about a recent op-ed by White House trade adviser Peter Navarro that attempted to discredit him, Fauci said, “I can’t even comment on that. That just is beyond my comprehension.”
