Abrams participated in a keynote address with fellow Democratic leaders from across the country, who spoke about how the coronavirus crisis has taken a toll on medical professionals, essential workers, teachers, parents and other Americans. They criticized what they called President Donald Trump’s reluctance to take responsibility for the virus in the U.S.: “No leadership. No plan. He still doesn’t have a plan." “Our choice is clear,” said Abrams, encouraging Americans to vote for Joe Biden over Trump. The coronavirus pandemic upended both parties’ traditional conventions. Instead of in-person events, the program each night features a number of speakers and musical performances virtually across the country.
