2:11Now PlayingFormer Surgeon General Vivek Murthy said on the final night of the Democratic National Convention that Joe Biden would be an effective leader in confronting the coronavirus crisis. Murthy said the country has the ability to fight this virus, and cited Biden’s experience comforting people in pain, as well as managing the Ebola crisis, as evidence he has what it takes to do it. “Joe Biden is the man I trust to look out for my family, and the leader I know will heal this nation,” Murthy said. The coronavirus pandemic upended both parties’ traditional conventions. Instead of in-person. events, the program each night features a number of speakers and musical performances virtually across the country.
