4:45Now PlayingRep. Anna Paulina Luna, R-Fla., questioned Secret Service director Kimberly Cheatle in a House Oversight hearing Monday on the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump at a July 13 campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
Luna asked Cheatle to dispel conspiracy theories that had arisen in the aftermath of the shooting, questioning whether the gunman who shot Trump acted alone.
“At this time we do not have [evidence] that there were any other people engaged,” Cheatle said.
Luna also asked about whether there was a second gunman at the shooting.
“Have you been made aware of multiple eyewitness reports that there was a second shooter on a water tower?” Luna asked.
“I do not have any information related to any second shooter,” Cheatle said.
