1:54Now PlayingEight athletes from Palestine and the Palestinian diaspora are in Paris to compete in the 2024 Olympic Games. Their participation comes as the war on Gaza continues into its 10th month, with more than 39,000 Palestinians killed in Gaza since Israel's attacks began after Oct. 7.
Despite the mental, emotional and sometimes physical burden the athletes are carrying because of the ongoing war, the athletes say they are proud to serve as representatives of their sports and heritage at the 2024 Olympics.
