1:12Now PlayingA rowdy crowd chanted “Lock him up!” during former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s speech Monday night at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago. The chants were reminiscent of former President Donald Trump’s go-to refrain of “Lock her up!” during the 2016 presidential race against Clinton.
As she spoke in support of Vice President Kamala Harris, Clinton said Trump has been convicted of 34 felony counts, saying “he made his own kind of history” as the first president in American history to be criminally convicted.
During the first day of the convention, delegates formally adopted a party platform. Later in the week, Harris and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz will formally accept their nominations as the party’s candidates.
