In response to Gov. Tim Walz’s assertion that it's important to trust scientific, medical, economic and government expertise over former President Donald Trump's judgment, Sen. JD Vance accused experts of misinforming the public.

“[Experts] were wrong about the idea that if we made America less self-reliant, less productive in our own nation that it would somehow make us better off,” Vance said.

Vance then proposed that people stop the issue of their children consuming “drugs” from “nations that hate us” by listening to “common sense wisdom” over experts.

“So many of the drugs, the pharmaceuticals that we put in the bodies of our children are manufactured by nations that hate us. This has to stop, and we're not going to stop it by listening to experts, we're going to stop it by listening to common sense wisdom, which is what Donald Trump governed on,” Vance said.

With just more than a month to go before Election Day, Vance and Walz met for their first and only vice presidential debate on Oct. 1, hosted by CBS in New York.
