Around 1,200 people were killed in Israel during the attack. Hamas took more than 250 people hostage into Gaza. Around 100 hostages are still held in Gaza, two-thirds of which are still believed to be alive.
Since the Oct. 7, 2023, attack, Israeli attacks in Gaza has killed over 40,000 Palestinians and displaced nearly 2 million.
