A new study by The Trevor Project looks at how these laws affect LGBTQ+ youth's mental health.
“You now have your existence questioned. You now have to sometimes testify and justify who you are," The Trevor Project CEO Jaymes Black told PBS News' Ali Rogin.
"That is a direct hit on your mental health," said Black.
