as posted by the channelSen. Marco Rubio will appear Wednesday before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee for his confirmation hearing to be the next secretary of state.
The hearing is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. EST on Wednesday, Jan. 15.
Rubio, the senior senator from Florida, was also a one-time Republican presidential hopeful who ran against President-elect Donald Trump in 2016. A former member of the Senate panel holding his confirmation hearing, Rubio also serves on the Select Committee on Intelligence.

In the past, Rubio has argued in favor of U.S. support for Ukraine in the war against Russia. More recently he has called for an end to the war, which he has characterized as a stalemate. He has also long warned about military and financial threats posed by China.
