Britt wondered aloud why Democrats on the committee have "insinuated" that Bondi's long-term friendship with President-elect Donald Trump "is a problem." Britt pointed to Proesident John F. Kennedy, who nominated his brother Robert F. Kennedy for the same role.
Bondi is a former Florida attorney general. This is the first of two hearings the committee has scheduled for the nominee.
