The first hearing from the group, chaired by Greene, focused on financial waste in the U.S. government. Greene said her subcommittee would soon release a report with legislative solutions, and she blasted the Washington’s federal workforce as “beyond the point of forgiveness.”
Greene touted work by Elon Musk under the recently established Department of Government Efficiency and criticized the federal judge who halted Musk’s team from accessing sensitive payment information at the Treasury Department.
“We will hold this judge and others who try to stop the will of the people and their elected leaders accountable,” she said.
