National security experts and some lawmakers raised alarm this week after The Atlantic reported that U.S. military attack plans were shared in a group chat between Trump officials on the Signal app. The messages between top administration officials – including the vice president, defense secretary and national security adviser – discussed plans and operational details for military strikes in Yemen, and mistakenly included Jeffrey Goldberg, the editor-in-chief of The Atlantic and moderator of Washington Week.

PBS News Weekly takes a look at how the country has reacted to the news, plus, President Donald Trump's newly announced tariffs on imported cars and car parts and Trump's nominee to lead the Social Security Administration, who faced questions about the future of the agency.

This, while the heads of PBS and NPR faced questions from a House Oversight subcommittee about their funding.
