1:38Now PlayingPresident Donald Trump celebrated the first 100 days of his second term at a campaign-style rally in Michigan, where he blasted Democrats and one Michigan lawmaker who filed articles of impeachment against the president on Monday.
Rep. Shri Thanedar, D-Mich., announced online he was introducing seven articles of impeachment over several of Trump’s second-term actions, including the deportation of Kilmar Abrego Garcia to El Salvador and his administration’s claim they could do nothing to return him to the United States.
“What the hell did I do? Here we go again. They want to impeach me. This lunatic,” Trump said to the crowd in Warren, Michigan, while referencing Thanedar.
Speaking of Democrats overall, Trump said, “They have no control, and the reason is they've lost their confidence. They have no confidence anymore as a party. They have no candidates.”
He added that Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., was “the best they have,” and went after Sanders' age and called him a "lunatic" but is still "pretty sharp."
