YouTube Description
as posted by the channelSpecial Olympics Chairman Tim Shriver sat down with PBS News' Judy Woodruff to discuss The Dignity Index, a method he’s developed for improving dialogue across partisan lines. He was also asked about remarks his cousin, Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., made in April at the release of new data showing that the autism rate in the United States has continued to grow. At that press conference, Kennedy said autism “destroys families” and called it an “individual tragedy,” an opinion that generated pushback from the autistic community and researchers. "I don't agree with my cousin about the way in which he's characterized people with autism," Shriver said.
