as posted by the channelThe House narrowly passed President Donald Trump’s massive legislative package that includes tax breaks for individuals and businesses, work requirements for recipients of Medicaid and nutritional assistance, and funding for increased border security and the administration’s deportation operations.
The 215-214 overnight vote sends the legislation, which the White House has called the "One, Big, Beautiful Bill," to the Senate.
Trump praised House Speaker Mike Johnson and GOP leadership for their work to get the bill to the finish line. "Now, it’s time for our friends in the United States Senate to get to work, and send this Bill to my desk AS SOON AS POSSIBLE," he said early Thursday.
