1:24Now PlayingIsraeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu nominated President Donald Trump for a Nobel Peace Prize. "He's forging peace as we speak in one country, in one region after the other," Netanyahu said Monday.
Netanyahu presented a copy of the nomination letter to Trump during a meeting at the White House. Trump thanked Netanyahu for the nomination, adding "coming from you in particular, this is very meaningful."
The two leaders met Monday as Israel and Hamas continue to negotiate a ceasefire and the U.S. lifted a terrorism designation on neighboring Syria.
