Monarez, who was ousted in late August, said she faced pressure from Kennedy after she refused to preapprove vaccine recommendations from a CDC panel without first seeing scientific evidence.
Her firing led to the resignations of two other top officials, including chief medical officer Dr. Debra Houry, who testified alongside Monarez.
