It could be hard to find it at your local grocery store, but at the annual Ohio Pawpaw Festival, the fruit takes center stage. From pawpaw cook-offs to pawpaw swag and even pawpaw beer, visitors indulge in the celebration of the fruit, which some say comes with an unexpected taste that is hard to peg.
PBS News Producer Mary Fecteau attended the festival earlier this month and asked attendees what they thought the fruit tastes like.
