1:00Now PlayingThe Trump administration has installed what one administration official has called a “Presidential Walk of Fame” that features the portraits of almost every president in U.S. history – except for Joe Biden.
Instead of Biden’s portrait, the frame features an image of an autopen signing Biden’s name.
Journalists were able to see the portraits that hung along the West Colonnade that connects the Executive Residence and the West Wing this week.
The image is the latest instance by President Donald Trump and administration officials to question Biden’s mental capacity at the end of his one term in office.
Trump, without providing evidence, has alleged that Biden administration officials may have used the autopen to sign documents in place of the then-president. He has also questioned whether pardons and other documents Biden signed using the autopen are valid, even though presidents before Biden used the device to sign key documents.
A House committee is investigating the Biden administration’s use of the autopen.
The “Presidential Walk of Fame” is the Trump administration’s latest addition to the White House grounds. In the last few months, Trump has paved over the Rose Garden to create a patio and announced plans to construct a ballroom to hold massive banquets.
