as posted by the channel

The Trump administration is suspending the processing of visa applications for citizens from 75 countries. That includes green cards, fiance visas, and certain kinds of work visas.

Among the countries listed by the State Department Wednesday are Afghanistan, Brazil, Colombia, Egypt, Iran, and Russia. In a statement, the State Department said the pause is meant to prevent the entry of foreign nationals who would take welfare and public benefits. The new policy starts January 21. It will not apply to those seeking nonimmigrant visas or temporary tourist or business visas.
