0:59Now PlayingIn London, two long-distance runners shattered a historic barrier, completing a marathon in under two hours.
Kenya's Sabastian Sawe became the first person to do so in just 1 hour, 59 minutes, 30 seconds. Ethiopia's Yomif Kejelcha crossed the finish line 11 seconds later as the second person to break the two-hour mark, and he did so in his first-ever marathon.
For those doing the math at home, that means Sawe averaged a pace of 4 minutes and 33 seconds per mile, over the course of 26.2 miles.
