With energy prices on the rise, are more Americans open to powering our world through renewable sources like wind and solar?

Horizons moderator William Brangham discussed the importance of batteries to solar energy deployment with Bill McKibben, an environmental activist, writer and author of “Here Comes The Sun.”

“If the last three or four years was about the rise of solar and wind power, the next two or three years are going to be about the deployment of batteries everywhere on that grid and elsewhere to make that solar and wind power all the more valuable,” McKibben said.

Horizons from PBS News, dives into the science, health, technology and environmental issues making headlines each week. Visit the PBS News website to watch this week's episode.
