1:02Now PlayingCollege quarterback Brendan Sorsby has won a temporary injunction against the NCAA, despite his history of gambling on games.
The Monday ruling means the 22-year-old could play for Texas Tech University this fall.
Sorsby had been suspended after admitting to gambling on college football games, including during his time on the roster at Indiana University.
Current NCAA rules call for a permanent loss of eligibility for players who bet on their own team, but Sorsby only faces a two-game suspension.
In response, the organization said that it "strongly disagrees with the court's ruling," and that it "undermines and corrupts the integrity of sports."
