1:25Now PlayingAfter the Federal Reserve left its key interest rate unchanged after its June meeting, new Chair Kevin Warsh was asked Wednesday if there had been any discussion of an interest rate cut.
He said a limited discussion was held on a proposal, but he declined to share specifics.
"The group was unanimous and unambiguous on it," Warsh told reporters during his first news conference as Fed chair.
“I wouldn't prejudge what happens in the future, but there was only one big subject for us,” Warsh said. “We took it on, we had a good family fight on it for a couple of days, and we ended up, I think, in a better place.”
