0:58Now PlayingThe Justice Department has reportedly withdrawn grand jury subpoenas to reporters at The Washington Post and The Wall Street Journal.
The Associated Press and others are reporting that the subpoenas were issued earlier this year as part of the administration's broader crackdown on media leaks. A spokesperson for The Washington Post called the subpoenas a "clear violation of constitutionally guaranteed press freedom."
Speaking to reporters after an unrelated press conference, acting Attorney General Todd Blanche didn't say why the subpoenas were revoked, but he vowed to continue investigating what he called "breaches of national security."
