1:35Now PlayingLawmakers in the House of Representatives have gone home early after a group of Republicans demanding more aggressive action on the SAVE America Act effectively shut down the chamber's floor on Tuesday.
The SAVE America Act, an elections bill prioritized by President Donald Trump that adds new proof-of-citizenship and voter ID requirements, stalled last week in the Senate. In response, House Republicans stalled floor action to force senators to take up the bill.
