"Someone who's committed to making real change not just at the surface, but to the structures of how power works to make this a freer and fairer democracy for everyone and who's focused on the lives of working people," says Ben Wikler.
"You want to have a government that is responsive to what the public wants," he later added.
Wikler, who chaired the Democratic Party of Wisconsin for six years, is the author of a new book, "This is the Plan," which details his prescription for "saving" America's democracy.
