"One option would be to declare victory again," Youssef told moderator Jeffrey Goldberg on Friday.
President Donald Trump's other options, Youssef said, include escalating the conflict, continuing economic sanctions or trying to return to the negotiating table.
On Monday, Trump said the U.S. and Iran were in contact with each other and that newly renewed talks between the two sides were Iran's "last chance" to avoid escalating the war.
