Three patients were evacuated Wednesday from the ship at the center of a hantavirus outbreak.

Two of them are confirmed to have the disease, with the third being a suspected case. Health workers in protective gear were seen loading them into ambulances. The ship's British doctor is among the patients.

They were flown to a hospital in the Netherlands for medical attention. That leaves around 150 people still on board the vessel. Health officials said today they are not showing any signs of symptoms. The ship itself is now en route to Spain's Canary Islands.

The World Health Organization says there have been at least eight recorded cases of the rare rodent-borne disease. Five have been confirmed by lab tests and three people have died.
