Speaking to Democracy Now!, Guardian columnist and former constitutional attorney Glenn Greenwald says the backlash against Brooklyn College exemplifies a worry amongst supporters of the Israeli government about growing criticism of its policies. "As public opinion turns against the actions of the Israeli government as they become more extremist, more ultra-nationalist, more committed to the oppression of the Palestinians, you do see more desperation on the part of those who want to exclude and stigmatize all criticisms of Israel," Greenwald says.
