On Wednesday, the two largest hospitals in East Aleppo were forced to close after being hit by airstrikes. The Russianbacked bombing of Aleppo intensified after a ceasefire collapsed 10 days ago. U.N. SecretaryGeneral Ban Kimoon says that the situation in the Syrian city of Aleppo has become worse than a slaughterhouse. We speak to Syrian activist Osama Nassar in East Ghouta, a suburb of Damascus, and Yasser Munif, a Syrian scholar at Emerson College who specializes in grassroots movements in Syria.
