But the media doesn't often make those connections clear –– and with so much at stake, reporters need to do a better job communicating the scope of the climate crisis to their audiences. "Climate is no longer just a niche issue that deserves only to be covered in science programs or science and technology sections," Mann says. "It is impacting every aspect of modern life."
