4:16Now PlayingWhile hosting the Emmy Award-winning broadcast “Woman to Woman” in the 1980s, journalist Pat Mitchell uncovered memories of childhood abuse that she had unknowingly “buried very deeply.” In her new book "Becoming a Dangerous Woman: Embracing Risk to Change the World," Mitchell recounts her experiences in confronting her trauma as a survivor of incest as well as her legendary rise to becoming the first woman president of PBS and CNN Productions. Working with other survivors has become a “driving passion” in her life, she says, as she hopes to make it possible for them “to break that silence, to make it safer for survivors to come forward and to get the help they need."
