YouTube Description
as posted by the channelAtlanta is pushing ahead with the construction of "Cop City," a proposed $90 million police training facility strongly opposed by local activists.
Law enforcement officers — including a SWAT team — violently evicted protesters recently from a wooded area where the training center is to be built, shooting and killing a longtime activist. They also charged 19 people with domestic terrorism, "flimsy" charges likely intended to undermine the movement rather than respond to an actual public safety concern, says reporter Alleen Brown.
"These charges may not be meant to stick. Perhaps instead it's meant to send a message," she says.
