"How can they say Israel is not responsible?" asks Hass, who says the government has continued its policy of apartheid, occupation and ethnic cleansing of Palestinians despite decades of international pressure to end the conflict. "Israel did everything possible to foil the possibility of establishing a Palestinian state alongside Israel."
