Donald Trump’s campaign screened an ad that scapegoated migrants and asylum seekers for rising crime in the U.S. and falsely claimed Biden’s so-called open border policies have facilitated the smuggling of fentanyl. Christine Neumann-Ortiz, executive director of Voces de la Frontera and Voces de la Frontera Action, says Trump’s platform is “promoting hateful rhetoric” and the GOP has become a “white supremacist party and is a real threat to democracy.”
