YouTube Description
as posted by the channelIran and Israel exchanged fire Sunday night in the most serious escalation since a U.S.-Iranian truce was reached in April. Iran launched a wave of missiles at northern Israel, claiming it was in response to Israeli attacks on the southern suburbs of Beirut, known as Dahiyeh, on Sunday. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu claimed his military hit a Hezbollah command center. Israel is “crossing all red lines” by targeting Dahiyeh, the IRGC’s Khatam al-Anbiya said in a statement on Sunday.
Israel responded to the Iranian missile strikes by bombing Iran, with explosions reported in Tehran, Tabriz and Isfahan. The Israeli military also confirmed it struck the Mahshahr petrochemical plant, one of the largest in Iran.
The attacks on Iran came despite President Trump telling Axios on Sunday that he planned to call Netanyahu to urge him not to respond to the first wave of Iranian missiles. Trump also told the Financial Times that Netanyahu had no choice but to accept a deal with Iran, saying, "I call all the shots. He doesn’t call the shots."
Trump on Monday morning posted on Truth Social that "Israel and Iran must immediately stop 'shooting’” and that “final negotiations on ‘Peace’ are proceeding.”
