There's a lot of conflicting information surrounding the Book of Enoch these days leaving many Christians to wonder whether they should even study it. Here are the facts: first of all, there are THREE books of Enoch. Books 2 (2 Enoch) and 3 (3 Enoch) are speculated to be corrupt. Whereas 1 Enoch was actually discovered among the Dead Sea Scrolls which were compiled and preserved over 200 years before Christ. Not only was it considered valuable enough to preserve alongside the Hebrew Bible in the scrolls, but it was also quoted in the New Testament by Jude, the brother of Jesus.
Although it may not have been considered "divinely inspired" by the early church fathers who excluded it from our modern bibles, there is quite a lot of evidence to suggest that it was highly regarded in ancient times. Not to mention, it was actually written for OUR generation!
