The State’s case against Bryan Kohberger relies heavily on using cell site location data from his phone to corroborate the movements of the white car seen outside the King Road residence. So long as the State can show the movements of the phone are consistent with the movements of the car, they can argue that both are in the same place at the same time, meaning that the white car whose movements they have traced from various pieces of surveillance video, is Bryan Kohberger’s car. The notice of alibi suggests that this corroboration may be beginning to crumble and gives hints as to what may be coming to either further solidify the State’s theory, or demolish it.
