Karen Read retrial - DAY 17 - Commonwealth's Case - Live Watch and Attorney Analysis

It's Friday of Week 4, and since the Commonwealth has so far managed to prove that John O'Keefe has no injuries associated with a motor vehicle-pedestrian collision but does have an injury consistent with being punched, Hank Brennan is now trying to sandbag the defense with a new theory of the case that it has finally conceived more than 3 years after Officer O'Keefe's death and only after the defense has already highlighted fatal defects with the prior theory. There aren't many witnesses left for the Commonwealth to build a case out of, so it is seeking every advantage it can get; and since Judge Cannone has been happy to conduct the trial as a puzzle to solve that ends in Karen's imprisonment, she'll be looking for a way to give it to them. Mr. Alessi has been tasked with reporting back tomorrow morning on the length of continuance that would be necessary for his experts to fairly respond to the new theory.
