Robinhood, the brokerage that changed it all, the trading app that made it free to buy and sell stocks finally responded to my video. The original video was questions that we as a community had for Vlad Tenev - I never thought they would respond - but they did. Here is my conversation with the CEO of Robinhood and myself.
Disclaimer, I'm not a CNN news reporter, I'm not an analyst so I didn't push Vlad, I wasn't tough on him, I just wanted to be respectful and listen because the financial industry is a lot more complicated than people think it is. When it comes to investing, buying stocks, etc. it's not as simple as buying and selling. Robinhood has a lot of regulations to follow, and companies that it needs to work with to make sure we can trade stocks instantaneously. That comes at a price. The "plumbing" of the financial world is dated, and it needs to change.
This is what Robinhood is telling us happened, what they did, and how they plan to fix it and hopefully become one of the best brokerage apps out there. I'd love to know your thoughts!
