9:13Now PlayingMSNBC Anchor Melissa Harris Perry says that the depiction of Darth Vader as a deadbeat black dad to Luke Skywalker is racist because James Earl Jones was the voice while doing bad things, until his face was revealed, as a white man, in which he turned good. I am not a Star Wars fan or expert, but I haven't been hiding under a rock my entire life. Common knowledge for a person born anytime before 1990 says that James Earl Jones was simply the voice of the character in the movies. Darth Vader was never black.
This is just another episode in a long line of Melissa Harris-Perry's outlandish accusations about racism. There was another incident where she battled with Jose Aguilar on MSNBC about the term "hard worker" being used as it relates to Paul Ryan. She invoked Harriet Tubman and slavery, saying that poor people work hard all of the time, but rich and or powerful people in government talk down to them, saying that they are welfare moochers that don't contribute to society.
We all know what a welfare moocher is. Some of us genuinely need help from time to time. Others are simply playing the system, and in turn, letting the system play them. They never get off of the government dole and wind up being controlled by it. But this is par the course of MSNBC, and Melissa Harris-Perry by extension. Their modus operandi, if you will. This type of extreme race-based social justice warrior action is to be expected from them. MSNBC plays the role of the counter balance to FOX News. But even Fox News isn't as over the top and wonky with their conservatism as MSNBC is with their liberalism.
