12:40Now PlayingThe 2018 midterm elections are now in the books, for the most part. Some races are still being contested like the Governor election in Georgia. Overall a decent performance from the GOP, losing the House by a slim margin but gaining some seats in the Senate. Some are comparing these midterm elections to 1982 during Reagan's first term when he lost and gained right around the same amount House/Senate respectively. Reagan went on to sweep the 1984 election for his second term 49 states to 1, destroying Walter Mondale. Some House Reps who lost their seat to a Democrat, such as Mia Love, refused to embrace Trump and or Trump's message and appear to have suffered as a result.
