13:45Now PlayingCandace Owens and rapper TI had a dust up over the “Make America Great Again” (MAGA) slogan at the recent Revolt Summit. The specific panel the discussion happened was “Trap The Vote: Hip Hop and Politics.” TI was asking Candace when America was ever great and what era we would like to go back to.
As Candace attempted to answer, she was being drowned out by TI and others on the panel and in the crowd. She was not permitted to give her response. Killer Mike gave a response later during the panel talk and it was well received.
Some said that Candace should have said the same thing Killer Mike said and the crowd (and panel) would also receive it well. That may not be the case. Mostly everyone in the building liked Killer Mike and his moderate liberal stance. Many people in the building simply do not like Candace and her conservative stance.
Candace could say the exact same thing as Mike and be booed while he would get cheered. It’s a clear bias that was in the room and people should truly understand that point. I speak about this and give my answer to TI’s question in the video above!
