Trump signed Executive Grants of Clemency granting Full Pardons to the following individuals: Edward DeBartolo, Jr., Michael Milken, Ariel Friedler, Bernard Kerik, Paul Pogue, David Safavian, and Angela Stanton. In addition, President Trump signed Executive Grants of Clemency granting commutations to Rod Blagojevich, Tynice Nichole Hall, Crystal Munoz, and Judith Negron.
Many mainstream media personalities, news outlets, and random celebrities like Chelsea Handler have found fault with what Trump has done here. Some cry racism and nepotism because they believe people he has granted clemency and pardons to are friends, supporters, and mostly white. Which is false, because there were several non-white people granted pardons and clemency and once you zoom out to Trump's criminal justice reform efforts in general - 91% of those freed from jail and/or prison are black.
