Two alleged Chinese nationals are accused of defrauding $150 million from the United States Postal Service. One of the perpetrators, Lijuan "Angela Chen, has already pleaded guilty to the offense. The second person accused in the scheme, Chaunhua "Hugh" Hu, is believed to have fled to China, where he currently resides. They are both 51 years old. The scheme involved a shipping business in the City of Industry, California. From November 2019 to May 2023, the pair defrauded USPS through counterfeit postage and shipping labels. This con game siphoned an estimated $150 million from USPS.
