Ministers, donât beckon the congregation to give you applause whether itâs trying to get amens, or trying to have the people be impressed with your prophetic gift and anointing. Donât turn the precious ministry of Jesus into a show by doing âtoo muchâ that wasnât necessary to cast the demon out or to deliver the prophetic word. As we minister we should have the heart that we want all awe and wonder to be towards God, not âour gifts.â When one does âextraâ to get a âriseâ out of the people, they have crossed over to the place of desiring some of the glory for themselves. It doesnât mean there canât be different styles and different ways to prophecy and cast out demons. Itâs about the motive. As you minister, have the heart and the fear of God for all the glory to go to Him.
