The biggest part of the promised land is what every believer already has: relationship with Jesus, and the supernatural, abundant life that He brings and is accessed day by day as you follow the Holy Spirit. The other promises (marriage, kids, career, house, etc) are just the icing on the cake, but not necessary to experience complete contentment, peace and joy. We should desire intimacy with Jesus more than we desire the blessings that Jesus gives. Allow God to search your heart. Why do you want the promises so bad? Why do you want the elevation, the career, the platform? God wants you to desire the promises because of God getting glory through these promises and His Kingdom advancing. If that is really where your heart is, you won’t be desperate for the promises but rather content and grateful for what you have now, while excited for the promises to be fulfilled; not because of what you get out of it, but because of what God gets out of it.
