YouTube Description
as posted by the channelFinding a spouse has been idolized and glorified in much of Christian culture, that it’s led to many believers veering out of God’s will and timing just to get in line with “Christian culture” and their own desires to get married. The truth is, God’s timing is usually different than our own. For most Christians, the time God has planned to bring their spouse into their lives is later than what they had desired and imagined. Being on the prowl for a spouse for years ahead of God’s timing will lead to not being fully devoted to God and what He’s calling you to. When you are completely focused on serving God, God will bring your spouse into your life without you having to be so focused on trying to find a spouse. The blessings from God come supernaturally, and with ease. You don’t have to force it and you don’t have to make it happen. This kind of surrender to God is “new wine doctrine” that many Christian’s are not used to, but this is truly the Jesus way!
“But I say to the unmarried and to the widows, [that as a practical matter] it is good if they remain [single and entirely devoted to the Lord] as I am.”
1 Corinthians 7:8 AMP
It’s not that it’s better for you stay single for life. But it’s better that you don’t divide your focus, spending much of your time and heart searching for a spouse. It’s better that you are entirely devoted to the Lord and rest in His timing, allowing Him to bring your spouse in His timing.
If God leads a man to pursue a woman, then he should (whether it be in his young 20s or later). What men shouldn’t do is make their focus to find a wife when God hasn’t directed them to do that. The message I am sharing is that a man should pursue the woman God is leading him to, when He is leading him to (rather than just generally searching for a wife, outside of the leading of the Holy Spirit). For example, if God wants a man to be married at 35 but a man devotes much focus and energy on searching for a wife from age 18-35, that would be a lot of time that could’ve instead been spent devoted to God and serving Him. It could also lead to a premature marriage outside of God’s will. Be open and ready to the leading of the Holy Spirit. Do not devote yourself for searching for a wife instead of devoting yourself to the Lord and following Him in His will.
